Vatterott College Adds Cosmetology Program In Kansas City

Vatterott College’s Kansas City campus is now offering a Cosmetology Diploma program. The campus located at 4131 N. Corrington Ave., Kansas City, Mo. is across from Worlds of Fun. The day program is 50 weeks long and the evening program is 60 weeks.

Individuals enrolled in this program will be instructed in the technical skills and theory of hair dressing, hair cutting, permanent weaving, hair coloring, manicuring, iron curling, and business. Students will also study hair structure and hair chemistry to better understand the chemicals used in cosmetology.

“Vatterott College is very excited to announce the launch of this program at our Kansas City campus,” said Shaun Riggins, Campus Director at Vatterott College. “Students in the diploma program will receive instruction in technical skills and industry specific business practices to prepare them to sit for the State Board Examination. The amount of hands-on and real world experience students gain helps to give them the confidence and skill they need to transition into professional roles.”

Students enrolled the Vatterott cosmetology school in Kansas City earn 1,500 clock hours over a 50 or 60 week program. Once the students complete 160 hours, the attached Salon Cosmetique will open to the public. Salon Cosmetique offers students the ability to gain hands-on training by offering salon services to the public at a reasonable price. Classes begin April 22.
