A new haircut makes you feel good and look good, and this is a great opportunity to boost a child’s self-esteem just in time for school.

Salon Cosmetique at Vatterott College will be offering free haircuts to children for the new school year as a part of its annual “Cuts for Kids” program.

Salon Cosmetique, the student salon at Vatterott’s Cosmetology School in St. Louis will host the event on Saturday, August 27, from 12:00pm-6:00 pm. The salon is located on the Northpark Campus.

“We are very pleased to be able to give something back to the community, especially during these tough times,” said Jim Browning, Vice President of the Eastern Division of Vatterott College. “A new haircut makes you feel good and look good, and this is a great opportunity to boost a child’s self-esteem just in time for school."

Students ages eight to 18 are eligible, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents can make appointments for their child’s free haircut as part of “Cuts for Kids” by calling 314-264-1100. A limited number of appointments are available.
