Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) September 2, 2010
Hacienda Matapalo, the most sought after gated community in Costa Rica with more than $60 million in pre-construction sales, is celebrating the end of summer with a newsletter that not only outlines the progress being made at the development on the South Pacific Coast, but also the country’s growth and diversity.
“Aside from updating our owners on issues that are important to them, our newsletters are meant to educate,” said Howard Brody, Hacienda Matapalo’s communications manager. “We want our publication to stand out from the crowd and for our readers to take away something they didn’t know before.”
Brody said the goal for the August issue was to show both the behind the scenes progress of Hacienda Matapalo and to illustrate how Costa Rica is coming into its own as a global leader.
“A lot of people still think of the Central American nation as a third world location one step up from how the castaways lived on Gilligan’s Island,” Brody said. “It’s not. Costa Rica is an emerging world leader in ecology, health care and geothermal technology. Their commitment to protecting the environment, protecting their residents and searching for alternate energy solutions in becoming Carbon Neutral by the year 2021 is inspiring.”
Brody said the August issue of the Hacienda Matapalo Community Newsletter features stories on a variety of subjects including beach cleaning efforts at Playa Matapalo (the world’s second most eco-friendly beach according to CNN Travel and Mother Nature News), a reforestation program spearheaded by the development, the construction of a geothermal energy plant in the region, the protection of sea turtle eggs by volunteers, new health care options for expats, and even upcoming rock concerts by such entertainers as Bon Jovi and Green Day.
Also in the issue is detailed information on a FREE eSeminar that is being presented on Wednesday, Sept. 15, starting at 6 p.m. Eastern, Executive Vice President Brian Albury will present a seven day virtual tour of Costa Rica. You can read about it in the Hacienda Matapalo Community Newsletter or
