we wanted to create a place for people to share...

As living costs continue to increase, Canadians are finding new ways to save money and maintain their quality of life. Anna Waters, expert coupon-hunter and owner of Bargainmoose.ca, noticed this convergence of tech and common sense cost cutting, prompting her to create a section exclusive to coupons on her site.
"Consumer awareness is at an all-time high," says Waters. "People are more connected to each other and the brands that they enjoy. The new coupon area on Bargainmoose gives everyday Canadians a place to share online coupon codes and printable coupons."
While traditional coupons still play a part in the daily shopping habits of Canadians, exclusive online sales, social media and email marketing are making big waves. Bargainmooser Avigayil recently used the combination of an online sale and a coupon code from Sears.ca, and managed to grab herself a $500 stand mixer for only $165, a saving of $335 on one single item.
"Timing is also a big factor in getting the deal," Waters continued. "More and more people are asking when the best time of year is to get a bargain. For example, Earth Day is in April, and many stores run promotions on their eco-friendly and green products around this time. Our users are getting wise to these types of promotions and we wanted to create a place for people to share."
The use of online coupon codes that give the shopper a discount at checkout, are also exploding in popularity. A recent North American study showed that 38% of online shoppers had used a coupon code while purchasing online. The coupon section of Bargainmoose recently went live with discounts for over 400 different Canadian merchants.
"It's getting easier and easier to find and use coupon codes," Waters pointed out. She's observed that many new online stores are coming to Canada and are embracing social media. "Our Bargainmoosers are constantly sharing new Canadian coupon codes and printable coupons in our coupons section," she continued.
By staying on top of social media, searching for a coupon code before spending, and timing their purchases right, Canadians are set to save a load of loonies!
BargainMoose.ca is a growing community where Canadians can find and discuss the best deals in the Canadian marketplace. Thousands of Canadians gather daily to post and rate bargains, coupon codes and freebies.
