Course Hero, Inc., an online supplemental education company, today announced the addition of Josh Tyler as its new Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Tyler will direct software development, collaborate with product management and operations, and be actively involved in growing the engineering team.

Prior to joining Course Hero, Tyler directed software development at Suitable Technologies, a robotics company that builds remote presence systems. While at Suitable, he more than doubled his team, managed software product development, and led UX/UI design and research. His career includes work in local events search, at Zvents, and human-computer interaction research, at both HP Labs and Xerox PARC. Tyler has an M.S. in computer science from Stanford University, and received his B.S. in computer science and political science from Washington University in St. Louis.
