As one of the pioneer franchisees of the Courtyard brand, we are thrilled to be a part of the Refreshing Business initiative. The redefined lobby gives travelers what they want from a hotel, inviting guests out of their rooms to work and socialize.

McKibbon Hotel Group, Inc announced that the 78-room Courtyard by Marriott Asheville has completed a major renovation of its lobby, which marks Marriott's 200th Courtyard Refreshing Business conversion. The hotel features a completely redesigned lobby space, designed to give travelers the flexibility to work and socialize as they choose while on the road.

"As one of the pioneer franchisees of the Courtyard brand, we are thrilled to be a part of the Refreshing Business initiative," explained John McKibbon, Chairman of McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc. "The redefined lobby gives travelers what they want from a hotel, inviting guests out of their rooms to work and socialize in this great new space."

The open, bright and contemporary new Courtyard lobby welcomes guests with vivid contrasting colors. The traditional front desk has been replaced with separate welcome pedestals to create more personal and private interactions at check-in. Flexible seating options range from a communal table in the middle of the action, to more private media booths with high-definition televisions, to a more intimate, semi-enclosed lounge area.

A signature element of the new lobby is the exclusive GoBoard® technology, which is a 52-inch high-definition LCD touch screen, packed with a wealth of local information, maps, weather reports and news. Guests are invited to navigate the touch screen to find restaurants, area attractions and directions located near this Asheville hotel.

Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and guests will find ample electrical outlets throughout the lobby to power digital devices. The robust business library features several complimentary computer terminals, along with printer and separate computer stations dedicated to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight statuses.

The Courtyard dining experience has been completely refreshed with The Bistro - Eat. Drink. Connect. The new restaurant offers casual, flexible seating; easier access to food and higher quality, healthier menu options for breakfast; and also light evening fare, including snacks, mixed drinks, wine and beer.

The Courtyard by Marriott Asheville is located at One Buckstone Place, right in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. The property is owned by Archon Hospitality and managed by McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc.    For additional information, please contact General Manager Jack Mild at (828) 281-0041 or visit courtyardasheville.com.
