The Boot Store to Be Featured 'Cowboy Boots Western Wear / Apparel' Vendor at 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

Located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, The Boot Store is about to have the honor of vending their western wear fashions at the legendary FEI World Equestrian Games in September of 2010. As a featured vendor at the Games, The Boot Store will gain exposure for their western apparel and cowboy boots in an international setting without having to leave their home state of Kentucky. This is more than a vending opportunity; this is history in the making.

Nicolasville, KY (PRWEB) May 14, 2008 -- Located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, The Boot Store is about to have the honor of vending their western wear fashions at the legendary FEI World Equestrian Games in September of 2010. As a featured vendor at the Games, The Boot Store will gain exposure for their western apparel and cowboy boots in an international setting without having to leave their home state of Kentucky. This is more than a vending opportunity; this is history in the making.

The Fédération Equestre Internationale, commonly referred to as the FEI, is the equestrian sport's international governing body. This group is responsible for selecting the venue for the World Equestrian Games, which are held every four years. Beginning with the inaugural games in Stockholm, Sweden in the year 1990, the event has never taken place outside of Europe. In December of 2005, however, the FEI announced that Lexington, Kentucky would be the site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which will be the largest equestrian sporting event ever to every take place in the United States. The games are to be held in the US as a result of the United States Equestrian Federation's bid, which was placed on behalf of both the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Kentucky Horse Park.

Kentucky is no stranger to equestrian events, after all, this is the home of the Kentucky Derby, one of the premiere races and sporting events in the United States. The Kentucky Derby, however, is a single race, and no matter how famous the event, it cannot compare to the eight events that take place at the World Equestrian Games. These events are show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, endurance, vaulting, reining, and for the first time, para-equestrian.

It is quite clear that this is one of the most appropriate opportunities to sell items such as cowboy boots and western wear. Western apparel is, after all, clothing that is designed for a particular lifestyle. The expected audience for the World Equestrian Games is 500,000 with more than sixty participating nations. The Games, which will take place from September 25th through October 10, 2010, is a sixteen day event that will have an economic impact of more than one hundred and fifty million dollars. The Boot Store is proud to contribute to the extensive web of commerce that will surround the World Equestrian Games.

These games are a very big deal in the horse world, and a great opportunity, not only for The Boot Store and Kentucky, but for the United States as a whole to play host to the games and show the world not only how amazing American riders are, but also the beauty of the countryside and hospitality of the people. It was once a common misconception that all Americans are cowboys, and it's time to take the true heritage of the land and put it to good use. Equestrian sports have evolved in many different countries, and the chance to be part of an event that unifies the international community is a true honor.
