The AAA conference allowed us to reach even more accounting professors and tell them about our innovative and interactive products
Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) May 01, 2013
The American Accounting Association (AAA) recently held its 2013 Mid-Atlantic Region Meeting in Parsippany, NJ, and Fast Forward Academy was counted among participants, as an exhibitor displaying various CPA review books and other CPA test prep study tools.
Held April 18-20 at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel, the meeting was an opportunity for accounting educators, students and professionals to come together, attend various panel discussions and network. There were 35 different concurrent sessions held during the three-day conference, as well as a poster session focusing on pedagogy, technology, and innovation in accounting education. Participants came from various institutions to learn and share research and ideas.
The American Accounting Association, which formed almost 100 years ago, is holding these conferences all over the U.S. for participants from various U.S. and international institutions. These conferences support AAA’s mandate to promote worldwide excellence in accounting education, research and practice.
Some examples of panel discussions that took place included the following: Research on Continuous Audit and Audit Automation by Michael G. Alles and Miklos A Vasarhelyi (Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey), Multinational Tax Research: A Brief Synopsis by Jennifer L. Blouin (University of Pennsylvania), Research on Executive Compensation by Steven Balsam (Temple University) and The Essential Role of Theory in Accounting Research by Jinghong Liang (Carnegie Mellon University).
Fast Forward Academy President, Matt McBride, took advantage of the recent opportunity to highlight Fast Forward Academy’s CPA exam products. “We’re always looking to showcase our successful CPA test prep study tools,” states McBride. “The AAA conference allowed us to reach even more accounting professors and tell them about our innovative and interactive products, like our new FastPlay game that helps students prepare for the CPA exam in an engaging and interactive way.”
McBride continued to say that he hopes Fast Forward Academy will participate in further AAA meetings in the future.
