Interested beginning sewing students are invited to create an Obi (wrap-around) Belt taught by Whit Halvorsen at Mill Valley’s craft supplies, Once Around, an Arts & Crafts Store, on Wednesday evening, September 28th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The cost of the class is $30.

“This is an excellent class for the beginning sewist, in which you will complete a really great belt in no time at all. Please bring at least 1.5 yards of fabric, and at least 1.5 yards of ribbon between ½” and 1” wide,” says owner Julie Stanton, “All other materials will be provided.”

Stanton continues, “Whit is a patient, thorough, and supportive instructor. She is an experienced crafter with a degree in education. Her classes are excellent for beginners, or those who want to get back into sewing after a long break. You will leave class with a completed project and plenty of written materials so you can keep sewing at home.”
