Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 12, 2014
Shot entirely in large format by Austin fine art photographer, Phil Crawshay, the two new pieces feature the iconic landscape of Page, Arizona and are creating quite a buzz amongst the SXSW crowd passing by the gallery particularly due to their huge size and beauty.
When asked about the technique used to create these pieces, Phil said, "Each piece that I create is has been shot for large format in the first place and contains detail at a level rarely seen in such large images. They are then printed onto a metallic paper and then bonded to the reverse of a thick piece of acrylic. The finished result is simply stunning and creates an almost glowing, three dimensional look. This, coupled with the overall size of the images makes you feel as if you are almost there."
The gallery also features many other pieces of Phil's stunning work and really is a one of a kind and unique location in the Austin art community.
You can see these two pieces and many more from the collection at the gallery which is located in the atrium of the Omni Hotel, downtown Austin, 701 Brazos St. or head over to http://www.crawshaygallery.com.
