Summer Blockbuster Inspires 'Death Race' Interactive Online Application by Creative Asylum

In anticipation of Universal Pictures' summer action- thriller "Death Race," featuring Jason Statham, Creative Asylum has launched a new interactive online application in which fans can trick out their own cars. Users can add weapons systems, armor plating, decals and tires, and then upload their car onto their Myspace, Facebook or other social media pages to share with friends.

This is in anticipation of Universal Pictures' upcoming summer action-thriller "Death Race," which hits theaters on August 22.

Jason Statham leads the cast of an action-thriller set in the post-industrial wasteland of tomorrow, with the world's most brutal sporting event as its backdrop. A penitentiary full of felons has inspired the jailers to create a grisly pastime ripe for lucrative kickbacks. Now, adrenalized inmates, a global audience hungry for televised violence and a spectacular arena come together to form the Death Race.

In Death Race, Ames customizes his car with weapons, armor and other features; now, so can excited movie and car enthusiasts. Fans can customize their cars with weapons, armor and other features, just like the Death Race characters. Through Creative Asylum's application, users can upload pictures of their cars and see what they looks like with such features as machine guns, rocket launchers, bullet holes, upgraded exhaust systems and new wheels. Users can also skip the upload and trick out one of the high-end vehicles in the Death Race garage.

When users are done, they can share their creation with others by embedding it as a widget on Facebook, Myspace and other social media sites. They can also post it on the site's gallery or e-mail it to friends.
