MissionMode Solutions, a leading crisis management and emergency notification system, is proud to announce the resounding success of the first public-private partnership of its kind during the recent Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Denver. The Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership(CEPP) Business Emergency Operations Center (BEOC), powered by MissionMode, provided a model for resiliency, preparedness and communications that is unprecedented for a national security event.

Pamela Pfeifer, executive director of CEPP, along with the MissionMode team worked to ensure that MissionMode would be available for the masses while providing critical information in any time of need. The BEOC provided alert notification, emergency preparedness and crisis management to organizations that could be affected by incidents in and around the DNC.

"CEPP's BEOC was made possible by the dedication and capabilities of MissionMode," said Pamela Pfeifer, Executive Director of CEPP. "This unprecedented effort to build a public-private partnership through communication and information-sharing for a national security event benefited not only from the sophisticated technology of MissionMode's tool, but also the professional team that made the BEOC a success."

Public and private organizations benefited from the availability of the MissionMode software, and even saw future benefits of the partnership between the public and private sectors.

"During the DNC, our Emergency Operations Center was able to track trends and movement of crowds, as well as events that had an impact on our mass transit systems and ultimately our citizens," said Bureau Chief Holly Nicholson-Kluth, of the Douglas County Sheriff's office. "It also gave us information on activities occurring in Denver that we needed to be on the lookout for in our own jurisdiction. Using MissionMode, CEPP gave us valuable and timely information, giving us eyewitness views of activities occurring outside our jurisdiction that may impact us. It's obvious that the partnerships and trust developed by this project will have an impact on many events and situations in the future."

Private organizations, such as property management companies, have really seen the benefit and need for a solution like CEPP and MissionMode put into place. Judy Anderson of Cushman & Wakefield Property Management felt the need for such software is especially important.

"MissionMode was an outstanding tool that the tenants have loved," said Anderson. "….many of us have been trying to complete an all-encompassing emergency plan since 9-11. I feel that we now have a product that can be personalized to most events."
