New York, NY (PRWEB) March 22, 2012
Choice Logistics, Inc., the leading provider of critical service parts logistics, announced today that Robert (Bob) Andrews has joined the company as Vice President of Global Field Operations. Andrews, a seasoned logistics executive who has lived and worked in many countries throughout his career, including Singapore, Japan, China, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Brazil, will lead the company’s expanding field operations worldwide.
“More than seventy percent of our current clients have international service requirements, and the portion of our revenues generated outside of the United States grew to forty-five percent in 2011,” said Gary Weiss, Executive Vice President of Global Operations. “Bob Andrews’ extensive global experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, and Customs operations gives us precisely the asset we sought to support and accelerate our international expansion.”
Andrews has a proven record of success in warehousing, delivery operations, customer service and partner management on a global scale. A charismatic leader with well-developed cross-cultural skills, Andrews has built management teams with hundreds of staff spread across the world for companies such as DHL, Flash Global Logistics and Dubai Aviation City Corporation. He has served as Chairman of the Logistics and Supply Committee for the American Chamber of Commerce in Tokyo and as Director for the Beijing Chapter of the Conference of Asia Pacific Express Carriers.
As Vice President of Global Field Operations, Andrews will be responsible for expanding Choice Logistics’ presence in North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific, as well as for leading the growth of Global Trade Compliance services. His team of regional Directors will manage the selection and performance of Choice Logistics’ global logistics network of strategic stocking locations and form executive partnerships with clients to develop innovative solutions for worldwide mission-critical systems support. Andrews takes over the executive-level position from Michael Notarangeli, who was announced last week as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and will report directly to Gary Weiss.
