Carousel Industries, a leader in unified communications, managed services, data solutions and visual communications, announced that it will be supporting Microsoft as Skype for Business Launch Partner — North America. As a Microsoft Gold Communications, Gold Hosting and Microsoft Certified Skype for Business and Lync Support Partner, Carousel has already attained the highest levels of accreditation by Microsoft and was recently invited to participate in the Skype for Business unveiling and project roadmap.

"Carousel is proud to play an important role in the Skype for Business rollout," commented Ed Wadbrook, Vice President, Applications and Collaborative Solutions, Carousel Industries. "As a Gold certified partner, Carousel has the experience, resources, relationships and methodologies in place to encourage and drive broad adoption of Skype for Business across small, medium and enterprise markets."

As a launch partner, Carousel Industries has participated in many Microsoft-based initiatives, including Project Neptune; the two-week pre-release workshop for select vendors; Ignite, Microsoft's comprehensive technology event; and has been invited to participate in the Skype for Business Advisory Council. Additionally, Carousel is one of several Skype for Business North America Launch Partners.

"Our team is fully aligned with Microsoft's strategy and solutions roadmap, and we have begun implementing training sessions, and are already coordinating one-to-one and one-to-many conversations among our entire customer base," he continued. "We anticipate Skype for Business will help companies realize unprecedented collaboration and business productivity, and that the launch will present a natural migration path for existing Microsoft Lync environments."

Skype for Business, which represents a natural migration of Microsoft Lync 2013, brings together the familiar experience of Skype along with the security, compliance and control of Lync 2013 and Skype for Business applications, infrastructure and workloads. The new communications platform promises to transform the way people communicate by extending communications beyond the walls of businesses to connect customers and partners, anytime anywhere.

Carousel has already developed several in-depth webinars to educate its customer base while also conducting customized training sessions to help businesses understand the implications of Skype for Business in their own networking environments.
