L’École Culinaire Presents Topped Chef Competition And Open House Event

The general public can participate as judges and demonstration assistants and tour the campus with career counselors

L’École Culinaire, 9811South Forty Drive, is hosting a topped chef competition among four chef instructors to determine who is the top L’Ecole Culinaire chef. This competition and open house event is scheduled for August 25 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and offers food samplings and interactive demonstrations with the audience and judges. The four chefs instructors will be judged by the audience and only one can be named the top chef of L’École Culinaire.

“Our chefs take this competition very seriously, they have been planning their dishes for months,” advised Regional Director of L’Ecole Culinaire, Mary Rakoski. “They can whisk up dishes that taste delightful, but also look elegant. All of our chefs have fun and love sharing their passion with others; and we love sharing their incredible culinary creations with everyone.”

The categories that the chefs are judged on are: grilling, sautéing and frying. Audience members and judges are also invited to participate in friendly interactive culinary demonstrations and learn more about the Le Food Truck, which will also be on hand.

Interested parties may also learn more about the program offerings from L’Ecole Culinaire, speak with an education coordinator and take a tour of the campus. L’École Culinaire is currently enrolling in diploma and Associate of Occupational Studies degree programs. All programs begin September 24.
