CURATED.us

Wow…Going through Curated's pages just now was pure joy and took me through such a whirlwind of emotions looking at the various images from such uniquely different minds and mediums. Genius! I'm honored to be one of the featured photographers.

CURATED.us is a unique online destination, inspired by the multimedia experience of modern daily life. A website that shares artists' personal and unpublished work in an elegant electronic venue, CURATED.us is a celebration of projects that capture the imagination and inspire.

Founded by industry veterans, Anna Levak and Angela Arambulo, CURATED.us showcases the intersection of fashion and art that has inspired much of their own work. Designed like a magazine or a gallery with different genres of art, the website highlights personal work that otherwise often remains behind-the-scenes.

"In creating the site, we wanted to share a peek inside the artist's notebook, to expose those more personal projects and inspirations that shape each contributor's more familiar work, for example, a fashion photographer's architectural landscapes, a creative director's line drawings of nudes, and a DJ's photos of NYC street basketball culture. It's truly a convergence and crossover of contexts." - Anna Levak and Angela Arambulo, Co-founders of CURATED.us

The premier installation of CURATED.us features the work of Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love, Ilan Rubin, Coco144, Robert Diadul, Carlos Mare139, Janice Richter, Jamil GS, Geová Rodrigues, and C.S. Drury, among others. This month's collection includes a mixture of photography: fashion, street, landscape, interiors, and portraits. Additional formats represented include graffiti, painting, illustration, sculpture, poetry, hand craftwork, digital art, an audio interview, and the interactive "Participate" section, which shares viewers photographs on the theme of "Home" and invites visitor participation in upcoming projects.

"I think the online venue and vehicle that CURATED.us has created is very important in providing an outlet for established, up-and-coming, undiscovered talent, and the hobbyist. The world needs more self-expression and color to ignite innovation and open thinking."
-- Edmundo Castillo, Co-founder & Creative Director, Casbia LLC

"I have known Anna and Angela for many years. I admire their modern sensibility, their attention to detail, and their intellectual approach to the creative process. There's always a sense of humour to their work. CURATED.us is a natural evolution of their perspective." -- Melanie Ward, Style Icon

Levak and Arambulo both began their careers in fashion, and have always looked to the Arts as inspiration for their styling work. Anna started her career at Barneys New York in the Visual Display Department. She spent over a decade as a fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar. Her graphic and inventive styling has appeared in magazines including Vogue Paris, V, Purple, Elle Accessories, InStyle, Seventeen, New York Magazine, and The New Yorker.

Angela Arambulo began her career at Harper's Bazaar. From there she went on to become Fashion Director at VIBE and then RollingStone magazines, where her editorial work explored the intersections of fashion, music, street art, and celebrity culture. Angela next took on the youth market as Creative Director at CCS Girl and Delia's. She is currently working on her first book project, a fashion style guide.

"Wow…Going through Curated's pages just now was pure joy and took me through such a whirlwind of emotions looking at the various images from such uniquely different minds and mediums. Genius! I'm honored to be one of the featured photographers."
-- Bobbito Garcia, Partner & Creative Director at Project 2050 Inc.
