Eighty nine contestants in the 2012 MISS UNIVERSE® Competition graciously put a brush to canvas--some for the first time-- and completed a work of art under the direction of Rachel Roberts, owner of Las Vegas-based Design & Wine Eat • Drink • Paint.

Now the artwork of each contestant is available for sale to successful bidders around the world. The proceeds from the auction will benefit Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing treatment to all children facing catastrophic diseases with or without medical insurance.

The auction takes place December 14, 2012 through January 14, 2013 at The winning bidder will receive the signed artwork, along with a signed headshot of the Miss Universe contestant who created it.

Design & Wine Eat • Drink • Paint offers a step by step process that allows even those without a known painting ability to create a work of art.

“Most people are amazed at how simple it is to complete their own painting once they sit down in front of the canvas, relax a bit and are provided with all the tools they need,” said Rachel Roberts, Owner of Design & Wine Eat • Drink • Paint.

The Miss Universe competition will broadcast live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas tomorrow, Wednesday, December 19, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

About Cure 4 The Kids:
The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center Of Nevada are funded, in part, by the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein to ensure children with life threatening illnesses received proper medical attention regardless of their family’s income or presence of health insurance. To date, more than 8,000 patients have been treated by physicians and medical staff at the Children’s Specialty Center and Hemophilia Treatment Center. The Children's Specialty Center provides medical treatment to children facing devastating diseases such as cancer, rheumatological diseases, as well as rare and ultra rare diseases. All our providers are Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada is the only Federally recognized HTC in the state. It is one of 140 HTCs around the country which provides individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Studies show people with Hemophilia who are treated at Federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates and lower mortality rates than non-HTC users.
