This is really one of our favorite events. It is just so much fun to see all of the people coming in and out of the shops, and the music is lovely. It is like one big flowing cocktail party in true New Orleans fashion. We just love it.

The owner of The Curtain Exchange, a seller of custom curtains and designer draperies in New Orleans, has announced her store’s participation in the Magazine Street Merchant Association’s Champagne Stroll on Magazine Street. The event will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the shops on Magazine Street, and will feature complimentary champagne and champagne cocktails, trunk shows, live music and more, according to the magazinestreet.com event page. The Curtain Exchange will be offering homemade cookies and the chance to win one of three $200 gift certificates to people who visit the store on that day.
Elaine Cullen, owner of the custom curtain shop, says that this is a particularly fun time of year for The Curtain Exchange. About her store’s participation in the champagne stroll she says, “This is really one of our favorite events. Cullen will offer cookies to visitors to her store, as well as the opportunity to enter in a raffle for a $200 The Curtain Exchange gift certificate. To enter the raffle, those interested must simply stop by the store, enter their names and return at 9 p.m. that evening for the drawing. There will be three gift certificates available.
