McLean, VA (Vocus) June 30, 2010
Cvent, the world’s largest provider of online event management, meeting site selection and web survey solutions, today announced that the Toledo, Ohio Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), Destination Toledo, has invested in a marketing package on the Cvent Supplier Network to enhance its exposure to Cvent’s extensive audience of qualified professional meeting planners. As part of the package, Destination Toledo will have priority search placement and feature enhanced profile content on the Supplier Network, Cvent’s online meeting site selection and electronic Request for Proposal (RFP) tool, as well as increased exposure throughout the Cvent Destination Guide, the first and only online city guide designed exclusively for professional meeting and event planners.
“With more than 35,000 registered planner users on the Cvent Supplier Network and over 110,000 unique visitors to the Destination Guide each month, Cvent is the ultimate group business lead channel,” said Dave Nolan, president of Destination Toledo. “We know that by enhancing our visibility in the Supplier Network, we are leveraging the most sophisticated technology available for promoting Toledo to thousands of qualified planners. Cvent’s RFP technology makes it easy and efficient for busy planners to work with us to make their event a success, whether it’s a small gathering or an annual convention.”
The Cvent Supplier Network is a core component of Destination Toledo’s strategic marketing efforts in 2010 to advance awareness of Toledo as a meeting destination, particularly for small- to mid-size meetings and events. By joining forces with Cvent, Destination Toledo is furthering its ability to highlight all that Toledo offers meeting planners, including detailed information on the area’s hotels, restaurants, special event venues and attractions.
In addition, through its promotion on the Cvent Destination Guide, “Toledo Just Got Easier for Meeting Planners,” Destination Toledo is making it easier for meeting planners to hold their next event in Toledo with offers including discounted room rates and meeting space, appealing food and beverage arrangements and no cancellation clauses, among other deals.
“CVBs are invaluable resources for planners because they are the local experts on their respective destinations, and we encourage planners using the Cvent Supplier Network to work hand-in-hand with the CVBs in our system to execute successful events,” said Bharet Malhotra, Cvent Vice President of Sales. “Through the Supplier Network, CVBs can ensure that planners get the best deal on their event venue while also driving more group business leads to local businesses.”
