I would like to welcome all of the Reignmaker customers to the Cypress family. We will make the transition as seamless as possible, and we look forward to serving them with the same commitment to outstanding service we bring to everything we do
Atlanta, GA (Vocus) April 23, 2009
Cypress Communications® today announced it has acquired certain assets of Reignmaker Communications, an Atlanta-based hosted-VoIP company and will immediately begin serving Reignmaker’s customers.
Reignmaker is a nine year-old Atlanta-based company with a rich history of providing VoIP services to small and medium-sized businesses across the US. Reignmaker was an early pioneer in providing end-to-end VoIP communication services and boasted over 11,000 business VoIP installations since its inception.
For Reignmaker’s customers, the transition will be transparent with no changes in functionality, rates or terms of their current service. Over time, they will benefit from Cypress’ national network, innovative product suite and more than 20 years of telecommunications experience. In addition, if they choose, they will be able to easily migrate to Cypress’ award winning C4 IP™ unified communications services.
“I would like to welcome all of the Reignmaker customers to the Cypress family. We will make the transition as seamless as possible, and we look forward to serving them with the same commitment to outstanding service we bring to everything we do,” commented Steve Schilling, Cypress Communications president and chief executive officer.
In addition to the Reignmaker customers, Cypress acquired Reignmaker’s network assets, including its state-of-the-art BroadWorks® VoIP application platform. Cypress will integrate the BroadWorks platform into its national VoIP network to expand its service offering and position it to more easily integrate future acquisitions. With the addition of the Broadworks platform to the Cypress existing Nortel-based switching platforms and the Microsoft® OCS platform that is rolling out later this year, Cypress will have deployed the broadest array of best-in-breed VoIP and unified communications infrastructure in the industry.
“Thanks to Cypress’ solid business fundamentals and strong financial backing, we are energized to be executing on our growth plan through both expanded organic growth and acquisitions,” Schilling continued. “With the Monday announcement of King and Spalding becoming our latest customer win and now today’s announcement, Cypress is continuing its forward momentum as the nation’s premier provider of hosted unified communications.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
