On May 24th, SocialBusinessCouncil.org, a peer-to-peer community for social business strategists and practitioners was launched by Defakto, a Dallas based company. Coincidentally, on the same day, the Dachis Group, an Austin based company, announced the evolution of their 2.0 Adoption Council to the Social Business Council.
These different groups share a name, but more importantly they share the vision of Social Business in the enterprise and the desire to empower, educate and inform those working in this space.
To provide clarity moving forward, both groups came to the amicable decision that Defakto's peer-to-peer group will now be known as the Social Business Alliance, and Dachis Group’s knowledge-sharing network will continue to be known as the Social Business Council. Both organizations support the increasing awareness and rapid adoption of Social Business in the enterprise.
