Dahn Yoga & Health Centers, Inc., one of the nation's leaders in health and wellness, announces a Community Spotlight for July 2011. It highlights the efforts of Jerrie Gathe, a Glendale, Arizona, resident who has overcome a bevy of physical ailments and blossomed as an enthusiastic Dahn Yoga instructor.
Just four years ago, 66-year-old Jerrie was suffering from a long list of illnesses, including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, as well as the mental anguish of a nervous breakdown. While she turned to Dahn Yoga exercises in order to reassemble her life, once healed, she soon realized she wanted to help others discover the benefits of the practice as well. She now works as an outreach instructor, teaching 12 classes a week at five different locations.
Jerrie is just one of the many countless members of the Dahn Yoga community who has experienced a huge transformation in their lives. "I wasn't always a go-getter. I used to be quiet," she says. "Through my Dahn Yoga experiences I have developed myself and become a different person. I love getting up and sharing Dahn Yoga with others."
