Dahn Yoga & Health Centers, Inc., a national leader in health and wellness, spotlights the recent Korean Chunhwa Meditation Tour in their newsletter, Dahn Yoga Life. The June 2013 issue features the story of participant, Susan Lee who became vested as a Dahn Master in a special ceremony along the way.
Lee offers the workshop's timeline and shares her impressions as she and 24 others from the U.S. Dahn Yoga community shared the sacred experience and explored the natural world, themselves and the homeland of Dahn Yoga practice.
The nine day Korean Chunhwa Meditation Tour held in May of this year began in South Korean and included visits to Anyang Park, where Ilchi Lee first began developing and teaching Dahn Yoga principles, Ilchi’s original home; Kookhakwon, the Institute of Korean Cultural Studies, the sacred site of Mount Moak, Jeju Island, and Seoul. The travelers participated in workshops, meditations and ceremonies during the excursion.
Susan Lee remarks, “On the fifth day, Manwol Daesunsanim vested ten of us as Dahn Masters in a special ceremony that was truly moving and joyous. I felt a tremendous, almost overwhelming feeling of gratitude and humility upon receiving and donning the Dahn Master’s uniform in the land where Dahn Yoga began.”
