Today, Surfing LLC announced the launch of DailyStoke.com, a new website for surfers and the surfing community. DailyStoke.com will provide readers with daily commentary and insight, product reviews, news and frequent contests, with the opportunity for comments and submissions by readers.
DailyStoke.com features writers who are passionate and knowledgeable surfers from California, New York, Florida and overseas. The site is managed and edited in New York by an experienced team of digital media professionals.
Says managing editor, Aubree Smith: "DailyStoke.com has a talented team of writers who cover 'all things surfing' for men and women of all skill levels and interests. The commentary is addictive. It ranges from coverage of the Association of Surfing Professionals and interviews with surfers, to surfing movie and book reviews and surf travel, in a light-hearted and irreverent way."
"We believe that surfers want bite-sized and frequently-updated commentary on surfing and we're stoked to give it to them!" says co-founder, Nada Arnot. "We're pleased at how quickly we have built a strong readership within the surfing community."
In addition, DailyStoke.com will be working with the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches, to provide beach and ocean environment related content. "We are excited to be a part of the DailyStoke.com community," says Matt McClain, Director of Marketing for the Surfrider Foundation. "What a great way to stay connected to waves, water and the world around us."
"DailyStoke.com was created by surfers, for surfers, and with a desire to share the stoke online in the same way surfing gets us going on the water," says Mike Arnot, co-founder. The tagline of the site is: "When you're not surfing out there, surf here."
As the community begins to build, DailyStoke.com will offer an independent and unbiased voice. Surfing industry contacts with story ideas or wishing to have their product or services considered for an editorial review should contact Mike Arnot, co-founder and editor, directly at mike @ dailystoke.com or 917-378-9883.
