The Law Offices of W.T. Johnson made a donation to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas last month.

The donation will go to help the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas fulfill its United 2020 goals, which includes achieving three goals by 2020: preparing 60 percent of high school graduates for success in education after high school, moving 250,000 people permanently out of poverty and improving the overall health of the community.

The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas aims to achieve these goals by creating programs and grants that offer services such as educational success mentoring, English language learning programs, job skills training, financial education and preventative care services.

“The goals that the United Way has set out for its United 2020 plan are ambitious, but the strategy behind those goals will ensure that the United Way succeeds,” said David Crowe, one of the Dallas lawyers on the W.T. Johnson team. “The United Way thoroughly vets every organization that it gives a grant to, making sure that the money will go to helping people in our area, rather than to funding bureaucratic inefficiencies. We feel confident that the money we give to the United Way will go to improving our community.”

In addition to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, The Law Offices of W.T. Johnson makes targeted donations to four other Dallas-area nonprofits each month. To learn more about the attorneys on the W.T. Johnson team, click here.
