Formerly known as the American Film Institute Dallas Festival, the Dallas International Film Festival invites hundreds of filmmakers and fans over nearly two weeks of film watching. Dozens of world premieres and internationally acclaimed films have been shown at the festival since it started in 2006. The 2011 festival promises to be just as exciting as the last few years and runs from March 31 to April 10. Tickets are on sale now and offer a number of different plans depending on how much access festival goers want.

Due to the length of the festival, attendees will need to find a place to stay if they want to see all the events and attend all the panels. The Dallas Marriott City Center Hotel has a number of rooms available during the Dallas International Film Festival. These spacious accommodations put guests near all the screenings and other major Dallas attractions, such as the West End, Deep Ellum district and the newly built AT&T Performing Arts Center.

In addition to offering hotel rooms near the Dallas International Film Festival, the Dallas Marriott City Center Hotel has a hotel special perfect for festival goers. The $50 Credit Special awards guests staying at the hotel credit that can be spent on hotel amenities, like in-room movies, restaurant and room service.
