We're particularly well positioned to do this because we combine the corporate culture and local decision-making power that customers expect from a small, local bank with the financial and personnel resources of a major financial institution.

Joe Don Martin will serve as banking center president for the new location. Martin recently came to ANB from Sterling Bank where he served as NorthEast Dallas market CEO. He brings 28 years of banking experience to his new position with ANB.
The new banking center consists of 11,000 square feet of space and a drive-through. Approximately 6,500 square feet will house a lobby and office spaces. The remainder of the space will be used as a new training facility. ANB retains naming rights to the building which is located at the corner of Pagemill Road and Skillman Street just north of LBJ Freeway (I-635) near Garland.
"We are thrilled to have located an existing building for our new location that provides everything we were looking for, from the training space to the drive-through," said Lynn Prude, regional president for Dallas County. "I am also very excited to have Joe Don aboard. His knowledge and experience in this market will greatly enhance our efforts to expand the ANB brand throughout the North Dallas and Garland areas."
The new location is expected to open early in the second quarter of 2008.
"At a time when many community banks located in major metro areas are being acquired by larger banks, ANB is definitely bucking a trend by expanding into those markets," said Robert A. Hulsey, president and chief executive officer of American National Bank. "We're particularly well positioned to do this because we combine the corporate culture and local decision-making power that customers expect from a small, local bank with the financial and personnel resources of a major financial institution."
