International Academy of Dance, offering premier dance classes, will participate in National Dance Week Santa Cruz & Around The World In Dance.

International Academy of Dance, known throughout Scotts Valley, Capitola, Soquel, Santa Cruz and Watsonville as offering nurturing, professional and fun dance classes and ballet classes for ages 2 1/2 through adult dance, will participate in National Dance Week by offering select free classes for first time students April 23 to 27. Melissa Palumbo, dance instructor at International Academy of Dance, will be performing at the Rio Theater on April 21 at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from the show will go to benefit the music programs in Santa Cruz city Schools. On Saturday, June 9, International Academy of Dance will hold its annual June production at the Mello Center. This year's theme is "Around The World In Dance" Experience dance and music from around the world. Young Performers will perform at 3:00 (ages three through teen) and adults and teens will perform at 5:00. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children and seniors (front row seating, the first 5 rows is $20 children/seniors/adults).
