TutuTix announced today a new ticketing sales and distribution service for dance studio owners and performing arts companies.

The new service combines leading edge ticket sales technology from TicketBiscuit with a suite of personal services tailored to meet the unique ticket distribution needs of dance companies. “Above all else, we wanted to make the process of selling and distributing tickets to dance performances incredibly easy on the studio owners and performing arts companies,” Chief Marketing Officer Eric Housh explains.

Setting up an event or series of performances can be accomplished either by filling out an online form or by calling the TutuTix toll free number.

Tickets can be sold in any combination of four channels: via a dedicated web page on tututix.com, via the studio’s Facebook Fan page with a special ticketing app, through the toll free TutuTix call center, and by hard ticket distribution at the studio or dance company. Ticket inventory is managed centrally by TutuTix.

Ticket orders are delivered by TutuTix as well, via US mail. Each ticket purchaser receives full color, foil embossed, bar coded, keepsake quality tickets that TutuTix supplies.

Housh said that in addition to sales and distribution, TutuTix manages the complete customer experience of the ticket order, including refunds, exchanges, and other needs. “Again, the aim is simplicity for the studio owner. Recital and performance planning is an incredibly hectic time. Our team of experts can handle the usually burdensome process of ticketing, enabling studio owners to focus on what’s really important.”

Housh said the service is being provided absolutely free to dance professionals, with a small fee for order processing and delivery passed along to patrons. He added that while online seating charts will eventually carry an additional fee, studio owners and performing arts companies who sign up in 2011 will receive theirs free of charge.
