Dance Party For Parkinson's At NYC's Pacha Sure To Be The Fundraising Event of the Spring

Team Fox members Beth Hochstein and Sharon Greif teamed up with the prestigious nightclub Pacha to create a fundraising event to benefit the Michael J. Fox foundation, which will include children’s entertainment galore-everything from face painting and cotton candy to magicians and a graffiti artist. Parkinson’s is definitely not only a disease of the elderly as it affects thousands of people under the age of 40.

May 1st 2011 is just around the corner which is the day of the fantastic family-friendly fundraiser “Dance Party for Parkinson’s” to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. Team Fox members Beth Hochstein and Sharon Greif teamed up with the prestigious nightclub Pacha to create an event which will include children’s entertainment galore-everything from face painting and cotton candy to magicians and a graffiti artist. While the kids are having fun upstairs, the adults can enjoy Pacha’s expansive dance floor with hits from the 1970’s until today. Also as a tribute to dancing and its positive effects on people with Parkinson’s, there will be performances of break-dancing, hip-hop, zumba and a guest singer. If this is not enough excitement, enjoy refreshments being served by students of The French Culinary Institute, a 1 hour open bar and an Asian auction full of amazing prizes. From jewelry to hair products and hotel stays, the Asian auction will have people running to buy tickets.

This ground-breaking event is the first of its kind for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Team Fox members Beth Hochstein and Sharon Greif have been fundraising for the organization with the hopes that a cure will be found. Beth was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease 3 years ago, at the age of 36. Sharon was diagnosed at the age of 38 when she was pregnant with her third son. Parkinson’s is definitely not only a disease of the elderly as it affects thousands of people under the age of 40.
