A comical, yet inspirational DVD was released today entitled "Dancing with the Crackheadz", with proceeds going toward building a rehabilitation center for drug addicts.
Founded and developed by a Donald McCullough, a recovering drug addict himself, "Dancing with the Crackheadz" was his way of giving back to the community and give inspiration to drug addicts to overcome their own obstacles. The performers on the DVD, including the amazing Betty Blow, are all drug addicts themselves who are either looking or have succeeded in turning their life around.
The 51-minute DVD costs just $9.99 plus shipping and handling, with 24-7 nationwide service.
McCullough said: "Dancing with the Crackheadz was designed by, and for, those unfortunate people who are being held down by an addiction. It demonstrates people can have fun without drugs."
He continued: "Dancing with the Crackheadz is absolutely hilarious, and is sure to be the talk of your next party."
McCullough is one of many recovering addicts with a sad, yet uplifting tale. He spent time in jail for his addiction, but came out rehabilitated and has been sober for 10 years. He is now trying to offer other drug addicts, particularly those without insurance, the same opportunity to turn their lives around like he has.
His ultimate goal is to raise enough money to build a 250 bed drug rehabilitation center in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and 20% of all proceeds of the sale will go toward that goal.
McCullough hinted a second DVD will be coming in the near future called American Crack Idol, which is sure to be the perfect sequel to the original.
"Getting over drug addiction is harder than anyone can even imagine. Prison helped me turn my life around, but it wasn't easy and I had help from plenty of loving people" McCullough said. "Now it's my turn to give back and offer my help to others, and raising money with this DVD to build a rehabilitation center is the perfect way to do that."
