Benvention Films, Inc is pleased to announce Writer/Director Benjamin Pollack's Dark Room Theater will screen Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 9:15pm as part of the NewFilmmakers LA series at the Sunset Gower Studios: Stage 5 in Hollywood, CA.
Benjamin Pollack recently won Best Director for Dark Room Theater at the Los Angeles Independent Television Festival (ITVFest). Dark Room Theater also screened at the Rome International Film Festival in Rome, GA where it was nominated for Best Narrative Feature. Dark Room Theater will screen at several other festivals throughout the fall including Shriekfest, the Los Angeles Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festival, FirstGlance Philadelphia Film Festival in Philadelphia, PA, and ShockerFest International Film Festival in Modesto, CA, where it has been nominated across several categories. A special Halloween screening will also take place October 28th, at the Comedy Central Stage at the Hudson in Hollywood, CA. NewFilmmakers LA red carpet screening events take place monthly at Sunset Gower Studios: Stage 5 located at 1438 N. Gower St. Hollywood, CA 90028. Each screening features a Q&A with the film's Director and cast followed immediately by a reception where the audience can interact with the filmmakers. About Dark Room Theater
Dark Room Theater is an anthology series in the vein of The Twilight Zone, about ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary, usually supernatural, situations, using both ironic and comic twists. Dark Room Theater stars Keith Blaney (Comedy Central's Sit N' Spin at Hudson Theater), John Capodice (Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Independence Day), Robert Costanzo (Total Recall, Honeymoon In Vegas), Rick Cox, Nicole Feenstra, Kaleo Griffith, Rose Rossi, David Stanford and Richard Tyson (There's Something About Mary, Kindergarten Cop).
