DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk. It was today the turn of Darren Fletcher to see his official PFA Profile.

Having joined the Manchester club at the age of 11, Fletcher has worked his way through the United ranks to become a first team regular. He was set to become the youngest player ever to appear in a Manchester United shirt for the first team when he was selected in the clubs final fixture of 99/00 season against Aston Villa. However, Premier League rules prohibit player's on schoolboy contracts. Fletcher broke into the Manchester United first team during the 03/04 campaign, playing a number of important matches, most notably the FA Cup Final win over Millwall. Darren has gone on to make 300 career appearances for Manchester United, however Darren was soon diagnosed in the 11/12 season with a bowel condition. He recently made his first competitive return in The Champions League against Turkish Champions, Galatasary. A captain at international level since 2009, Fletcher is seen as a crucial part of Manchester United's midfield, as shown by his trophy cabinet. He has won four Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, two League Cups, The Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say: “Fletcher will have no shortage of fans after his impressive performances for Manchester United and Scotland.”

“Of course a player with Fletcher's talent requires a certain level of respect and responsibility and he is sure to be a major hit with fans on Facebook.”

Digital Sports Group will provide further PFA player profiles for every professional footballer in England as well as the latest football results.

The Darren Fletcher Facebook Page is now live.
