Tickets go on sale Thursday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. for top-selling duo Daryl Hall and John Oates’ Oct. 22 performance at the Joint, which is located inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance start at $40.

Recognized in 1987 by the R.I.A.A. as the number-one selling duo in music history, Daryl Hall & John Oates have released six No.1 singles: “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” “Maneater” and “Out of Touch.” To date, the band has had seven albums go platinum and charted 34 singles.

The duo, which was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, has been so influential in the music industry that a 2006 issue of Spin Magazine declared, “Why Hall and Oates are the New Velvet Underground.” The list of performers who have cited the duo as a major influence include John Mayer, Rob Thomas, Brandon Flowers of the Killers, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie and Gym Class Heroes, which named a tour “Daryl Hall for President Tour 2007.”

Daryl Hall and John Oates are currently touring in support of the October 2009 four-CD release, “Do What You Want, Be What You Are: The Music of Daryl Hall & John Oates,” which is a 74-track compilation that includes 16 previously unreleased cuts.

The Joint holds 2,700 guests and features three levels of elevated, fixed seating, nine private suites and cutting-edge technology in sound, lighting and video.
