We love that our partners at Datran Media are continually bringing us new and smart ways to reach moviegoers online. StormPost's innovative tools have allowed us to reach and engage users in a contextual and relevant manner. As they expand their reach into social media, we're excited to be the first marketer to be invited to utilize these new capabilities.

Datran Media, the industry-leading inbox marketing and web advertising solutions provider, today announced the release of StormPost 4.0 at the Coremetrics Client Summit 2008 in Fort Worth, TX. This release of the StormPost ESP platform increases the value provided to marketers by offering a first-of-its-kind Facebook social media marketing tool alongside other analytics, interface and ad inventory management enhancements. The upgrades make it even easier for marketers to integrate their email, social media and database marketing efforts for maximum ROI.

Datran Media's client base includes many of AdAge's most recent top 100 media company list, including Lionsgate, the leading independent producer and distributor of motion pictures, television programming, home entertainment, family entertainment, video-on-demand and digitally delivered content. Lionsgate is among the first wave of clients that will immediately benefit from the software upgrade as it is rolled out across qualified Datran Media StormPost clients and becomes available to the general marketplace.

Lionsgate's Digital Media Directors Danielle DePalma and Jean McDowell added, "We love that our partners at Datran Media are continually bringing us new and smart ways to reach moviegoers online. StormPost's innovative tools have allowed us to reach and engage users in a contextual and relevant manner. As they expand their reach into social media, we're excited to be the first marketer to be invited to utilize these new capabilities."

StormPost 4.0's new Facebook tool makes it possible for marketers to send highly personalized communications to social media content subscribers through the StormPost system. The feature is especially advantageous for retailers and media companies who seek to reach customers and audiences who are increasingly spending more of their time on social networking sites.

Other enhancements to StormPost 4.0 that up the ante for competing ESPs include seamless analytics enhancements, upgrades to its user interface, trend-based reporting and Inventory Management features - all focused on simplifying what it takes for marketers to execute and measure the results of highly sophisticated marketing campaigns. StormPost's Inventory Management feature is a unique capability providing publishers and ad supported media companies with the ability to monetize their message streams and offset costs that they have typically incurred working with traditional ESPs. To date, ad-supported companies have been frustrated by standard ESP pricing policies largely designed for retailers and other organizations aiming to drive transactional activity. Inventory Management is just one StormPost exclusive feature that relieves this marketing pain point and supports Datran Media's lead position as the right choice for marketers in security and cost-conscious verticals.

Dave Hendricks, general manger of StormPost and vice president of market strategy for Datran Media, will be on site today through February 27th at the Coremetrics Client Summit 2008 to help introduce the latest release of StormPost to marketers, press and analysts. Commenting on StormPost 4.0's Coremetrics LIVEMail 2.0 integration, Hendricks stated, "The combination of LIVEMail's behavioral targeting offering with Datran Media's advanced segmenting capabilities makes StormPost 4.0's analytics integration valuable because it allows users to execute winback/reactivation and renewal campaigns, regardless of whether the user is partnered with another ESP for its retention mailings or not. If you are a user of Coremetrics, you can leverage the power of performance marketing through StormPost without going through a painful conversion effort."

In addition to pricing concerns, Hendricks believes that, "Marketers are looking for solutions to the vendor management problem. If they can work with a partner who can help them acquire, retain and upsell customers, they are going to save time and expense. In today's marketing department, time and money are in short supply, and these resources need to be deployed expertly as well as inexpensively. StormPost 4.0 is a response to this challenge and gives marketers a tool for mastering CRM, acquisition and monetization from a single platform."

Industry analysts and pundits have similarly commented on the power of CRM plus acquisition. In fact, in his December 2007 U.S. Email Marketing Forecast, 2007-2012, JupiterResearch lead analyst and Vice President David Daniels reported, "As with retention mailings, marketers will also move their acquisition efforts to relevance, focusing on sponsorship and emerging performance-based offerings from the likes of companies such as Datran Media - representing the future direction of email-oriented acquisition."
