It’s essentially a book about hope.

In Debora Krizak’s new memoir, “How Would You Like Your Eggs?: A Journal about Life with Unexplained Infertility” (published by Balboa Press), readers gain access to a personal account of the trials and tribulations of fertility issues.
Krizak hopes to empower readers, especially those who are experiencing and embarking on in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. “I wrote it as a way to reach out to others going through a similar situation and as a reference for anybody who may not know how to reach out or know what to say to someone they know embarking on fertility treatment,” she says.
The book is written with a bird’s eye view into the processes and emotional impact of IVF, along with the grief of being unable to discover the joy of pregnancy naturally. The book arms readers with the knowledge to ask the right questions and be a proactive leader in their own quest to parenthood.
Ultimately, Krizak wants to give readers a new outlook about the process. “There have been plenty of books about IVF and infertility – ‘how to fix it’ – but nothing highlights the true emotional impact and unspoken nature of what is regarded in our society as a disease,” she explains. “It’s essentially a book about hope.”
“How Would You Like Your Eggs?” will officially launch on Aug. 29, 2013, just in time for fertility week – Sept. 1-8 – in Australia.
