According to CBS Local, six of the world’s largest auto manufacturers including Honda, Nissan, and Toyota have voluntarily recalled more than three million vehicles due to defective airbags. Kiley Law Group defective product attorneys view the recalls as an ongoing failure to provide the public with consistently safe transportation and comments on the public’s decreasing confidence in product manufacturers.
Five years ago, Toyota was one of the most trusted auto manufacturers believed to provide very safe vehicles that rarely, if ever, failed to meet consumer expectations. Now, Toyota Motor Corporation will have to fix or inspect 1.7 million vehicles, including the Lexus SC 430, Corolla, Sequoia, Tundra and Matrix, says CBS Local.
These latest recalls have come as no surprise after Toyota recalled millions of vehicles between 2009 and 2010 for defective gas pedals, floor mats and faulty break devices. Out of all six of the auto manufacturers affected by the most recent concerns over faulty airbags, more than three million vehicles will have been recalled. According to CBS Local, the airbags in question were used in many different models of vehicles across many manufacturers.
