In a recent survey conducted by Defog It antifog at a Coast Guard tactical training facility in Florida, results showed that 77% of respondents often have a problem with fogged faceshields when training in full protective gear. Yet, for 87% of those experiencing the problem, the solution was to wipe the lens, requiring them to remove their protective facegear in a potentially dangerous situation.

With Defog It antifog towelettes to stop fogging of faceshields and safety goggles, users can “see safe and be safe.”

No tactical officer should have to remove protective faceshields or goggles to defog them. An antifog that really works in the harshest real-world situations is a crucial safety factor, and that’s why we developed Defog It antifog.

In a recent survey conducted by Defog It antifog at a Coast Guard tactical training facility in Florida, results showed that 77% of respondents often have a problem with fogged faceshields when training in full protective gear. Yet, for 87% of those experiencing fogged eyewear, the solution was to wipe the lens, requiring them to remove their protective facegear in a potentially dangerous situation. The number one cause of fogged eyewear was the unavoidable exertion of the training, with humidity and heat as contributing factors, particularly in the hot southern climate.

“No tactical officer should have to remove protective faceshields or goggles to defog them. An antifog that really works in the harshest real-world situations is a crucial safety factor, and that’s why we developed Defog It antifog,” says John Swett, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Nanofilm, maker of Defog It.

The trainees also subjected Defog It antifog towelettes to the harsh environment of their training and game them a superior effectiveness rating of 8.6 on a scale of 10.

In addition, they liked Defog It’s ease of use, rating it 9.5 on a scale of 10. Said one trainee, “Being dry, it was easy to apply and left no extra mess to clean up.” Another noted that another benefit is that the towelettes are reusable and pocket size.

Defog It antifog has also recently been awarded the National Tactical Officers Association’s Member Tested and Recommended Seal. Members of the NTOA who are active law enforcement officers field tested and reviewed the Defog It towelettes for use on eyeglasses, shooting glasses, faceshields and goggles, as well as for optics such as riflescopes and binoculars.

The Defog It antifog formula is used by the military worldwide. The antifog towelettes and antifog liquid provide safe, long-lasting fog prevention for all types of optics. In lab testing a lens treated with Clarity Defog It was held over constant hot steam for 60 minutes, and no fog ever forms. Other products failed in as little as 5 minutes. In another test, a treated lens was moved between a 30 o freezer and a 72o room 100 times without fog ever forming.
