Birders from throughout the Mid-Atlantic will flock to the Delmarva Peninsula from April 26-29, 2007, for the opportunity to catch a glimpse of scores of species in an extensive variety of habitats.

Located in the heart of the migratory flyway, Delmarva region - named for the states of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia that make up this unique area - possesses an extensive variety of environments including barrier islands, coastal bays, tidal wetlands, cypress swamps, upland fields and primeval forests. Home to scores of avian species from warblers to bird of prey, participants recorded 142 species during last year's weekend event.

Conceived to celebrate the region's natural diversity and promote bird and habitat conservation, the weekend combines day and night expeditions, boat trips, canoe-kayak excursions, expeditions by foot and free evening socials for birders of all skill levels.

Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. For more information, birding tip or to register, please visit
