De Portola Wine Trail announces the local celebrity chefs to compete in their 10 winery tasting paired the unique paella dishes prepared by Best of Temecula 10 Chef Challenge located at Vail Lake Resort featuring 20 wines, 10 unique paella dishes and Classic Rock Group Old School

Gourmet Chefs compete as the wineries of Temecula’s De Portola Wine Trail proudly host the “DWT Wine Up” on October 20th from 11AM-6PM at the Vail Lake Resort benefiting Susan G. Komen Foundation. 10 chefs from across the Temecula Valley will each be creating unique proprietary paella dishes, with judges on hand to award the best paella of the day. The local Gourmet Chefs announced today include: Chef Adrian from Sorrel Bistro, Temecula; Chef Caesar from Viva Vino Tapas and Wine Bar, Temecula, Chef Enrique and Chef Jorge from Jalapenos, Chef Jerry from La Cocina Temecula Temecula, Chef Francesco from Rusticos Murrieta, Chef Leah from EAT Marketplace, Temecula; Chef Gustavo from Masia De Yabar Winery Temecula and a few more surprises to be announced later.

20 different wines from 10 De Portola Wine Trail wineries will be poured to complement the chef’s creations. Judging will take place from 10AM-2PM and the band “Old School” will play live music from 2-6PM. Tickets to the entire day’s activities are $55 and include a souvenir glass, sampling of all 20 wines and the 10 paella dishes.

Patrons can also purchase additional food from local food vendors and glasses or bottles of wine at the DWT wine bar. For those wishing to come in time for live music only and a la carte offerings from vendors can do so from 2P-6PM. Admission tickets will be available for $10 on line or at the door. Tickets are available at any of the De Portola Wine Trail wineries or by visiting the De Portola Wine Trail website http://www.deportolawinetrail.com. Tickets must be purchased in advance. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the cure.

There will be educated wine servers at each winery that can describe the wine and its attributes. Contact Grapeline for transportation at an additional cost. Designated Driver tickets can purchase a ticket for $30.00, which will include food serving at each winery and water.

Temecula’s De Portola Wine trail winery owners will be on site during the WINE-UP. Keyways Winery,Fazeli Cellars, Robert Renzoni Vineyards, Gershon Bachus Vintners, Oak Mountain Winery ,Leoness Cellars, Danza Del Sol Winery, Frangipani Winery,Cougar Winer ,Masia De Yabar Winery.

As a courtesy to all of its patrons, ticket sales are limited. First come first served, rain or shine. NO DISCOUNTS are offered by the wineries for this event.
