Though it’s not certain, this could signal an agreement between the parties.
(PRWEB) June 03, 2013
A plaintiff in a California DePuy ASR hip implant lawsuit voluntarily dismissed her case recently, according to court documents filed in Tilman v. DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., et al. (No. CGC11508806; Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco). The Rottenstein Law Group LLP, which notes that voluntary dismissal is often the result of an undisclosed DePuy settlement, maintains a website that discusses in detail the types of DePuy lawsuits and the amount of compensation an implant recipient can expect.
The documents were filed in San Francisco Superior Court on April 25, following an earlier request by the plaintiff to expedite her trial, according to court documents.
“Though it’s not certain, this could signal an agreement between the parties,” said Rochelle Rottenstein, principal of the Rottenstein Law Group LLP, “especially considering that the plaintiff had asked for an expedited trial.”
There are an additional 11,000 lawsuits pending against DePuy over the ASR hip implant in state and federal courts related to alleged side effects such as metal poisoning, according to Bloomberg.* DePuy recalled the ASR in 2010.
The Rottenstein Law Group LLP represents clients in ASR hip lawsuits. The firm encourages those who believe they have suffered from the ASR’s alleged side effects to visit the firm’s website to download a free brochure to learn more about DePuy ASR settlements and lawsuits.
