Quorum Productions today announced a relationship with Coinstar, Inc. that will allow South Floridians to enter themselves into a contest that could land them a starring role in a Designing Spaces episode.

South Floridians can log onto http://www.designingspaces.tv and submit their tales of overflowing change jars and car seats littered with loose change with the hope of being selected to appear in an upcoming episode of Designing Spaces where they will help promote Coinstar's Coin to Card(TM) program.

The popular self-service coin-counting machines owned by Coinstar, Inc. now do more than turn Coins to Cash(TM). The Coin to Card program allows consumers to skip the coin-counting fee when they opt to receive gift cards for popular home decorating stores such as Pier 1(R), Linens 'n Things(R) and more.

This Coinstar service will be featured in an upcoming segment of Designing Spaces wherein the winning couple will be featured on camera showing how they turned loose change into beautiful home decor from their favorite stores. Coinstar is also offering a prize to the winners in the form of a $250 gift card to either Pier 1 or Linens 'n Things. In discussing motivation for the promotion, Designing Spaces' producer, Lysa Liemer, says, "We have a very loyal following of viewers who largely consider themselves part of the growing cadre of Do-It-Yourselfers. A core part of that audience is young couples who scour the internet looking for fresh new ideas for home decoration. In joining with Coinstar and the Coin to Card program, we are opening dialogue with our fans through the internet and furthering their quest for creative ways to achieve the beautiful home design they see featured on our show.
