LearnVirtual’s new DESIGN [realized] event series focused on Integrated Project Delivery (IPD): Virtual Design to Construction (VDC) starts July 22, 2011. This four-part series featuring case studies, legal and management aspects of IPD and BIM (Building Information Modeling), and new product / service ideas; will be held simultaneously in cities around the U.S.

“This DESIGN [realized] program will show how successful designers, builders, and building owner’s bring design aspirations to reality and achieve other significant project goals through the best use of process and technology,” says Tony Rinella, the curriculum developer for DESIGN [realized]. “Our presenters will share practical advice as well as techniques to avoid when implementing IPD and BIM on building projects.”

The four DESIGN [realized] Educational Events are:

  •     July 22: A Deep Dive into the Legal and Management Aspects of IPD and BIM featuring speakers from Harness Project Solutions, Hanson Bridgett, and Zurich North America.
  •     August 26: New Strategies and Services from The Beck Group and Lucchesi Galati Architects.

It combines the benefits and economies of distance learning with the satisfaction of first-person experiences.”

For each DESIGN [realized] event, speakers present to a live audience in “home” cities. Their presentations will be web cast simultaneously to venues across the U.S. Local venues will have facilitators to moderate group discussions and question/answer sessions with the speakers.
