AccuRev improved Novarra's efficiency of managing multiple product delivery lines through the use of drag-and-drop code propagation management capabilities. This capability reduced Novarra's effort from weeks to days, while some local and remote performance operations were reduced by as much as 85 percent with AccuRev.

Requirements for a new SCCM solution and additional benefits migrating to AccuRev included:

Novarra required a faster way to identify and move changes between releases. With AccuRev, developers can now drag and drop source code changes and associated issues from one release to another. Additionally, AccuRev change packages functionality has greatly reduced the time spent tracking down files with the correct code for a customer patch. Novarra products require strong support for parallel development, team integration areas and incremental merging. AccuRev's advanced merging and private developer workspaces have improved the integration process. Developers required the ability to work effectively from home or abroad. AccuRev has not only proven significantly faster over a WAN, but has drastically reduced the process of labeling a build. Jeff Serviss, manager, software configuration management, at Novarra, said, "Everything from the initial evaluation to the SCM conversion went very smoothly and everyone we have dealt with at AccuRev has been excellent. AccuRev has improved the overall experience for our developers, and has already made their lives easier and more productive. Previously, developers working remotely would have to wait at least an hour for the source code to be pulled down to their laptop. AccuRev now allows them to get the code in less than 5 minutes. The time savings has practically paid for AccuRev."
