Alepo Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of BSS/OSS solutions for next generation services, announced today the expansion of its comprehensive policy management solution with the addition of the Advanced IP Address Management (IPAM) Solution. A DHCP-based solution designed explicitly for service providers, Alepo’s Advanced IPAM Solution seamlessly integrates with other network elements to provide a centralized, comprehensive policy management solution.

As 4G technologies gravitate toward all IP-based networks, the need for a truly centralized policy management solution becomes increasingly apparent. As the first of its kind to feature a built-in AAA client, Alepo’s Advanced IPAM Solution allows service providers to directly administer IP address policies from one centralized policy management system.

Built on a flexible SOA-based platform, Alepo’s Advanced IPAM Solution is available to all network elements via web services APIs, which allows service providers to seamlessly integrate it with their existing infrastructure while emerging into new technologies.

The highly available, carrier grade solution was recently integrated with Digicel Jamaica’s existing GSM network as part of a WiMAX deployment. The inclusion of Alepo’s Advanced IPAM Solution in Digicel Jamaica’s WiMAX network will enable this leading Caribbean service provider to offer more granular and value-added services to its nearly six million subscribers.

Value-Added Services & IPAM

As today’s business customers utilize internet communications in an increasingly sophisticated way, the need to set up virtual private networks (VPNs), web hosting and email servers increases. With Alepo’s DHCP Server, providers can now enhance quality of service and expand revenue by offering static IP addresses as a value-added service Also, residential customers benefit by using static IPs to ease online gaming and ensure consistent quality for VoIP or other web-based services.

In addition, providers using Alepo’s Advanced IPAM Solution as part of their BSS/OSS solutions are able to more efficiently allocate IP addresses by segmenting blocks of IP addresses into IP pools and assigning them to specific customer groups. The 4G-ready solution supports both IPv4 and IPv6.

Alepo’s DHCP Server is a component of Alepo’s award-winning BSS/OSS solutions. The DHCP Server may be deployed as a stand-alone element or in combination with Alepo’s Policy Management Solution for a comprehensive policy management system.
