New Book Offers Insight into the Life of a Diabetic
In April of 2008, at eighteen years old, diabetic teen Naomi Kingery published Sugar Free Me an inspirational book for diabetic teens and their loved ones. The book is about the emotional aspects involved in living with diabetes with a positive and quirky twist on it!

Born in Bangalore, India, as a missionary kid, Kingery was diagnosed with diabetes at 12. At the tender age of 15, the author began to write the book she wished she could read in her hospital bed, a book about the emotions of a type-one teen. Now a self-published author, her must-read book shares stories and tips about her journey as a diabetic and has quotes from other teens just like her.

At 19, Kingery is embarking on one of the greatest adventures of her life with the publication of her new book. She hopes it will fill a much-needed niche in the literary world and serve as a stepping-stone to enrich the diabetic community.
