Diamond Lounge, the World’s Most Exclusive
Online Members Club, Announces That It Has Now Received 5,000 Online
Applications
LONDON (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) September 3, 2007 --
Diamond Lounge, a new private member’s club
for the international jet-set, today announced it has received 5,000
online applications ahead of its launch on October 1st. Applications can
be made at https://www.diamondlounge.com/approvals.php.
Diamond Lounge (https://www.diamondlounge.com/)
says that its Applications Committee (who are assessing online
applications as well as deciding who to invite directly) is absolutely
committed to accepting only the ‘right’
people into the club.
“We received applications from some of the
most successful and interesting people from all corners of the globe,”
said Alec Rosen, Diamond Lounge spokesperson. “Who
the Committee decides to accept is not just about money and fame though,”
says Rosen. “They are looking for interesting
people who will bring something unique to the club. We have a brief to
build something for the long term; a club with a real vision that will
evolve over time.”
Inside the Diamond Lounge, members will be able to interact together in
a series of “themed rooms”.
The rooms will allow members to socialize, play or conduct business
while being as private or as public as they want to be; Diamond Lounge
will allow members to customize their profile and choose exactly who can
see them within each room.
For example, a businesswoman will be able to create a professional
profile in the ‘Boardroom’,
and then decide which other businesspeople can ‘view’
her within this room. She will then be able to build a fun profile in
the ‘Lounge’, and
control exactly which individuals (or groups) will be able to see her as
she ‘lets her hair down’.
“It is the ultimate in privacy…
and unlike any other site in the world,” says
Rosen. “Like many of the features within the
Diamond Lounge, we based this on real life; people want to present
themselves at work differently to the way that they present themselves
socially. We are simply giving people real options, the choice to opt
for ‘even more privacy’
within an already private environment.
Even our ‘room-by-room groups’
replicate real life in a way that they don’t
on any other site; within the Diamond Lounge, groups will be formed and
molded by a democratic process. We wanted to create a ‘groups’
process that will be genuinely useful; members will only be accepted
into a group via a majority vote – and they
can be voted out too! It might seem harsh but it is fair and democratic –
and particularly important to people who want to engage in serious
business networking.
The private club essentially offers a cross between business networking,
social networking and dating and will also feature real-time
communication facilities such as live video conferencing. It uses very
advanced technology. It’s highly
sophisticated but is also incredibly easy to use.
And Diamond Lounge is not purely online either. Members will have access
to some incredible parties and business events and even to
ultra-exclusive products. Different ‘additions’
will be available in each room and members will be able to invite others
to the events and even buy them gifts.
It’s just another example of how Diamond
Lounge will cross the boundaries between the online and offline world.
In real life you might want to invite a key business contact to a top
sporting event, a potential partner to an amazing private party, or buy
someone an amazing gift – members will be
able to do all this instantly within the Diamond Lounge. It is going to
be a club like no other!” says Rosen.
