Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) March 01, 2012
The office of Digger Cartwright, mystery novelist and industrialist, issued a statement today announcing Mr. Cartwright's formal endorsement of Ron Paul for President of the United States in 2012. Mr. Cartwright’s office released his statement following conclusion of a champagne summit organized by the Orlando bureau of the independent think tank, Thinking Outside the Boxe (http://www.thinkingoutsidetheboxe.com), which Mr. Cartwright attended.
“After months of deliberation and research and watching a lot of Republican debates, I would like to announce that I am formally endorsing Congressman Ron Paul in the 2012 presidential race. I am confident in Congressman Paul’s ability to lead America forward in these challenging times, and I think his clear and consistent message on smaller government and individual liberties as well as his Plan to Restore America resonates well with the American people who have become disillusioned with the President.
"Congressman Paul has a tremendous grass roots organization that includes people of all ages, all races and nationalities, all socio-economic backgrounds, all faiths, and all political affiliations. Quite simply, he connects with more Americans and a wider spectrum of Americans than all the other candidates and the President himself. He has a simple and clear message that addresses what many Americans are concerned about the most. He calls it like he see it and that hits home with a lot of people. It is encouraging that a recent Rasmussen poll gave Congressman Paul a lead in a head to head match against the President. I am hopeful that Congressman Paul’s continued efforts to expand his message will translate into a good showing on Super Tuesday.
"My decision to support Ron Paul did not come easily, which is why it has taken me so long to formally endorse anyone. I gave the other candidates ample opportunity to convince me that they were the right one to lead our party in defeating the President in November and in solving the great problems that confront America—out of control government spending, shrinking a burgeoning federal government, national defense, securing the borders, ending nation building overseas, tax reform, and ending our dependence on foreign oil. Ron Paul has a good, solid plan to address these and other pressing issues facing our country, issues that are weakening us both here and abroad. I am confident that with his political experience and his leadership he can get the job done and put us back on the path to restoring America. But more than that, his character and his folksy down-home personality enable him to communicate ideas and solutions to all Americans from Main Street to Wall Street to the Congress in a way that brings people together.
"I look forward to Super Tuesday and to more spirited debate in the coming months. This isn’t going to be an easy road to the nomination, but I know Congressman Paul and his supporters can get there. The competition is fierce, and none of the candidates are going to go home before the convention, so we need to keep spreading Congressman Paul’s message. I look forward to working diligently in that effort and in supporting Congressman Paul against President Obama in November.”
