StudioPMG, a provider of digital marketing, mobile applications and analytics across multiple industries, today announced that Ryan Malone has joined the company as vice president of marketing. StudioPMG, which experienced significant customer and revenue growth in 2009 and 2010, will build on this momentum by leveraging Malone’s extensive marketing expertise to meet the needs of its customers.

Malone brings more than 15 years of experience in a variety of marketing and product managamement roles in both early-stage and publically traded B2C and B2B companies. He will be repsonsible for all aspects of StudioPMG’s marketing initiatives, including lead generation, branding, productization, media and public relations, and corporate communications.

Prior to StudioPMG, Malone was the founder and president of SmartBug Media, a digital marketing agency serving healthcare and technology companies. In 2010, SmartBug Media was named by Hubspot in the top one percent of inbound marketers. Prior to SmartBug Media, Malone was the vice president of marketing at Apani Networks, where he was repsonsible for global marketing and led the launch of security software solutions into customers such as Citibank, Cigna, University of Pennsylvania and United Technologies. Prior to that, Malone served as vice president of marketing and channel development for Zetera, where led the company’s go-to-market strategy with companies such as NETGEAR, Best Buy, CDW and NewEgg. His aggressive media and analyst relations progam led to Zetera’s technology being named “the most important invention since the disc drive.” Malone also led product management and product marketing for Certance, a $240 million subsidiary of Seagate Technology and worked as a senior consultant for Deloitte & Touche LLP. Malone has a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park and an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.
