Digital Graffiti is where art, architecture and technology collide at one of the most stunning New Urbanism developments, Alys Beach, nestled on Scenic Highway 30A along the Gulf of Mexico. Drawing thousands of guests, artists from around the globe entertain art enthusiasts, architecture buffs and beach-goers alike with their projected works for two special nights on June 7th and 8th.

Art explodes onto the white canvas architecture at Alys Beach

"Digital Graffiti is one of the most uniquely fascinating events I've seen in Florida. I was blown away by the mix of creativity and technology, and the sheer scale of the artwork," said Paul Love, Features Editor with Florida Travel and Life magazine.

Alys Beach announces June 7-8 for the Sixth Annual Digital Graffiti Festival that explores art, technology and architecture on Scenic Highway 30A.

During the festival, Alys Beach opens its doors, courtyards, and pedestrian paths to groundbreaking international artists who literally transform the entire resort town into a living work of art. The annual festival allows digital artists to explore how their fluid forms intersect with technology and wrap the architecture of Alys Beach to create entirely new art forms.

“Digital Graffiti, over a short period of time, has become irrevocably linked to Alys Beach,” says Town Architect Marieanne Khoury-Vogt. “Watching our beautiful, stark, whitewashed walls and roofs become completely transformed by the colorful and evocative swirling pieces of digital art is truly an inspiring experience. The projected vivid images that mold and melt against the backdrop of our sculptural architecture are fascinating to observe. One can meander through the paths and parks of our town and contemplate all of the different pieces of digital graffiti, at times set to music, and at times powerfully silent.”

DG2013 festival tickets are now available at digitalgraffiti.com and at Fonville Press in Alys Beach while quantities last. Adult tickets are $50 for Friday night and include an official shirt; $100 for Saturday night which includes an official Digital Graffiti t-shirt and Tervis tumbler. Children’s tickets (12 and under) may be purchased at $20 for Friday night only, and include a shirt. Guests are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets.

Back by popular demand, DG2013 will span two evenings and include Friday evening’s “Gallery Stroll,” where many artists are available to discuss their work with attendees in a salon-style setting.

A poolside party at the architecturally-acclaimed Caliza Pool featuring DJ Wizz Kid, cocktails and dancing will complete Saturday night's festivities.

"Digital Graffiti is one of the most uniquely fascinating events I've seen in Florida. I was blown away by the mix of creativity and technology, and the sheer scale of the artwork," said Paul Love, Features Editor with Florida Travel and Life magazine.

Prior to the event, guests are encouraged to “Meet Me at The Red Carpet ” at Fonville Press from 6-8:30 pm on Saturday when the festival gates open. Tapas and cocktails will be available for purchase. Sponsored by VIE Magazine, the pre party will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy cocktails and have their picture taken to be published in VIE Magazine and online at VIEzine.com.

The annual festival allows digital artists to explore how their fluid forms intersect with technology and wrap the architecture of Alys Beach to create entirely new art forms. Once darkness falls on the weekend, the town will be set aglow as artists compete for over $10,000 of combined prize money. Works will be judged in six categories including Best of Show; Curator’s Choice; Most Innovative; Most Experimental; Best of Florida; and Best Animated.
